AI/ML Engineer (On-Device)
About the role
Kauntech is building the next generation of privacy-first business tools. We are looking for an AI/ML Engineer to optimize our OCR and entity extraction models to run entirely on-device. You will be responsible for ensuring our AI remains fast, accurate, and fully DPDP-compliant without ever needing a cloud round-trip.
What you'll do
- Optimize deep learning models for mobile deployment (TensorFlow Lite/CoreML).
- Develop and refine custom OCR pipelines for business card data extraction.
- Implement on-device entity recognition and classification models.
- Maintain strict privacy standards by ensuring zero data leakage.
- Collaborate with the mobile team to integrate models into our offline-first app.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in deploying ML models on Android or iOS.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Deep understanding of model quantization and pruning techniques.
- Experience with OCR frameworks (Tesseract, EasyOCR, or custom CNNs).
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving AI practices.
